Fizz & Bubble

Hey my dudes, it’s me, back at it again, again, again, again, again, again, again with the blog posts. Today we’re talking about the Fizz and Bubble lip scrub.

Fizz and Bubble is mainly known for their natural bath bombs and other “luxury bath and shower treats.” The product that I have recently discovered is the pineapple coconut lip scrub at Ulta. I’ve used this sugar lip scrub many times, and I have mixed feelings about it…

If you do not like strong artificial scents and tastes you may want to stay away from this product because the pineapple coconut lip scrub has a STRONG smell of pineapple and coconut, and tastes the same(yes, it tastes the same). The sugar scrub is safe to consume. On the package directions it states, “Use a pea-sized amount, scrub your lips soft, and lick off the rest!”. The brand does a great job of turning something so simple into a fun activity.

Overall the lip scrub does its job as a lip scrub. I only have to use a tiny amount to get the job done and after using it my lips are super soft. After using the scrub, I would recommend using some sort of hydrating lip product. My prefered product is Vaseline’s line of Lip Therapy lip balms. The original and cocoa butter are my favorites to use after the lip scrub, but the rose and creme brule would work just as well. If you have a prefered lip balm or lip oil you could use that as well!

The texture of the scrub isn’t like most sugar scrubs that I have used. It is less of a wet texture and more of a dry sand texture. Although it is different from most sugar scrubs I’ve used, it isn’t a bad product. If this product sounds interesting to you Fizz & Bubble also offer a variety of flavors in their lip scrubs to fit all preferences. Their other lip scrub flavors are Mint Mojito, Watermelon, Bubble Gum, Rainbow Sherbert, Cherry Slush, Sugar Tart, and Blueberry.

There are some downfalls to this product which give me mixed feelings about it… First of all, it makes my mouth feel super sticky and sugary after using it. I have to wash my face off everytime I use it because it leaves me feeling like I have icing on my face and lips. This makes me weary about the product possible causing breakouts around the mouth area especially if you have sensitive skin. Second of all, the product is super expensive. I’m not so sure that the 1 oz of product that you get is worth 8 dollars…

I have purchased an 18 oz jar of the Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub for around 8 dollars, and I know I love it. It has a great formula that leaves your skin feeling soft and nourished after using it. Tree Hut has a lip scrub as well, so I will be checking that out to compare its formula to Fizz & Bubble’s formula. There are other lip scrubs I plan on trying like the Be Smooth Sugar Lip Scrub which is a lipstick form of a lip scrub, and the Burts Bees Lip Treatment Lip Scrub.

The Fizz & Bubble lip scrub is an interesting and unique product that I am glad I tried. Although I have mixed feelings about it, I definitely like it more than I don’t like it, so I will continue to use it. I am also interested in the different flavors of lip scrubs, and may check out more of Fizz & Bubble’s products!

Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more posts on different lip scrubs!
